Variant of | Shy Guy |
A Stretch[1] is an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its Game Boy Advance version. This variant of Shy-Guy is taller and thinner than an ordinary Shy-Guy, with additional hair on its head. A Yoshi cannot defeat Stretches by jumping on them; instead, when jumped on, Stretches get flattened and spit out watermelon seeds. If a Yoshi keeps at least one Stretch around, he can easily take out other enemies nearby. Stretches are very rare, and they are encountered in only two levels; the GBA version also includes magenta ones in Endless World of Yoshis.
