Gold Bullet Bills, also known as Golden Bullet Bills,[1] are a golden version of Bullet Bills that first appear in Super Mario Sunshine.

History

Super Mario series

Super Mario Sunshine

A Golden Bullet Bill from Super Mario Sunshine

In Super Mario Sunshine, Golden Bullet Bills are found only during the second episode of Pinna Park, where they are fired out of the cannon headed by the Monty Mole. Spraying Golden Bullet Bills with F.L.U.D.D. makes them explode into eight coins, which will vanish shortly if they are not collected in time.

New Super Mario Bros. 2

Gold Bullet Bills later appear in New Super Mario Bros. 2 whenever the player touches a Gold Ring. They behave exactly like normal Bullet Bills, except that they leave a trail of gold coins behind.

Mario Party: Star Rush

Gold Bullet Bills reappear in Mario Party: Star Rush. They appear exclusively in World 3-2 and World 3-3, where they shoot out of marked cannons decided by a roulette at the start of every turn. The coin trail they leave behind lasts for only one turn. Any player who gets in a Gold Bullet Bill's way is chased by it until the character finds a safe space.

Though just as dangerous as their non-shiny brethren, they at least have the decency to leave behind a coin trail.
