(Starting this list as a reference thing, this is everything from 2008, 2010 and 2012, with everything else hopefully coming tomorrow.)

(Adding 2014 and 2016, I'll hopefully be able to add in 2020 later to finish the lot.)

The full list promised as a follow up [https://www.marioboards.com/threads/40067/page-2#post-2160496/ here], so if you haven't got a clue what I'm on about, take a look at that first. I've sorted this by location type (with Sonic stuff mushed into one at the moment until someone can help me sort it) and I've provided what I think is all of the necessary information to help make decisions. When there is a tick in an "Article?" column, you can click on it to view the current article. Locations in which events do not occur are also listed here for completeness.

Revision as of 08:07, May 15, 2020

The full list promised as a follow up here, so if you haven't got a clue what I'm on about, take a look at that first. I believe that more of the venues are named in 2016 3DS, but it's all in the story mode dialogue and that's not a quick thing to go through, so I'll just say not named for now until evidence can definitively be provided for the contrary.

Mario & Sonic locations

Just so you have an idea as I doubt many people are familiar with every single one of these locations, I've included a venue type, either arena or course. In this context, course just means a larger area that you can move at least relatively freely around and often features obstacles, with a large amount that could be written about the layout, whereas an arena only allows for limited movement and acts as more of a background to the events. These are in no way official terms and some of them kind of blur the lines but it's mainly as a reference point.
