Spiky Snifits are enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They are seemingly a cross between Pokeys and Snifits. Unlike other Pokeys, which are generally segmented, Spiky Snifits are depicted as stylized stationary saguaro cacti wearing Snifit masks. They only appear in battle alongside Gritty Goombas and Anuboos in Teehee Valley. In the remake, their defeat sprite shows they have a pair of tiny legs under the ground.

Template:Species-infobox Spiky Snifits are enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its remake, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They only appear in battle alongside Gritty Goombas and Anuboos in Teehee Valley.

Spiky Snifits are depicted as stylized stationary saguaro cacti wearing Snifit masks; in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, their defeat sprite shows they have a pair of tiny legs under the ground. Based on their Japanese name and the fact that they can drop the Pokey Flower upon defeat in the remake, Spiky Snifits are also related to Pokeys, though they lack a segmented appearance.

Spiky Snifits shoot either a spiked ball or a mushroom at the Mario Bros., with two hints as to whom their target is. Prior to attacking, it shifts back and forth; if its right arm becomes visible, the enemy attacks Mario, and if it waves its left arm, Luigi is the target. Secondly, the Spiky Snifit's mouth may vibrate before it actually attacks, spitting the object at a low arc directly towards its target; if it fires immediately instead, the spat object bounces harmlessly over the target's head. The spiked balls have a chance to poison the Bros. if they hit. Conversely, any Mushrooms that "hit" the Mario and Luigi in the original game will be added to the inventory; in the remake, they will heal some of the Bros.’ HP.

Spiky Snifits are weak to Mario's Firebrand, and cannot be jumped on unless Mario or Luigi are wearing one of the "Spiny-Killer Jump" badges. Upon defeat in the original game, they may drop a Red Pepper or Syrup; in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, the Syrup is replaced with a chance to drop the Pokey Flower, a clothing item that increases the damage of First Strikes.
