The Dark Barribad is an enemy from Super Paper Mario. It can be found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. It is a sub-species of Barribads. The Dark Barribad projects an impenetrable barrier around itself when Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser, or Luigi approach, and shoots rings of energy at them. However, by Flipping to 3D, the player can go around the barrier, switch to 2D, and defeat it. However, if the Dark Barribad is not on the floor of the room, this becomes impossible because the blocks in the Pit are 2-D. If that happens, the player must use Bowser's fire breath to reach them. Fleep can also subdue the Dark Barribad, then it will be open for attack, using Thoreau on it is another way to defeat it.

The Dark Barribad is the rarest enemy in the game, with the only one being found on Floor 73 of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials.
