In both [[Pit of 100 Trials|Pits of 100 Trials]], they appear immediately upon entrance to the floors they appear on.  Its location is not specific; it tends to appear in various locations at random times.  Some locations where the enemy has been sighted include Chapter 1-3, Chapter 1-4, Chapter 2-2, Chapter 3-4, Chapter 5-1, and Chapter 5-2.  It is very possible it could appear randomly on other chapters as well.
