*According to their [[Catch Card]], Dark Dayzees sprout in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. However, this underground dungeon is totally devoid of sunlight and water. This could mean that Dark Dayzees are not actual flowers, but mere shadows created through the power of darkness (like [[Shadoo]]).

Dark Dayzee
Sprite of a Dark Dayzee from Super Paper Mario.
Sprite from Super Paper Mario
First appearance Super Paper Mario (2007)
Variant of Amazy Dayzee

Dark Dayzees are shadowy Amazy Dayzees in Super Paper Mario. They appear in floors 75 and 94 of the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. They are even stronger than the Amazy Dayzee. Tied with Shadoo's Dark Bowser form, they have the highest enemy attack power in the game (same as the Amazy Dayzees from the first two games of the Paper Mario series), but they tend to run away instead of fight. If a player does manage to defeat a Dark Dayzee, they are rewarded with 9990 points, the same amount as Super Dimentio, Wracktail and Shadoo's four forms. Dark Dayzee Catch Cards sell for sixty coins compared to the Amazy Dayzee's 300.
