<< Directory of missions >>

The Hammer Fan is the third side quest in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is unlocked after defeating Gorumbla and completing Coming Home. It expires upon entering Fortress Zokket for the second time.

Side quest[edit]

The quest must be started on Rumbla Island, near Willma's home and besides the M and L buttons. A boy is standing there, and when talked to, he says that he wants to be like Billdit or Maykit (depending on which island the Bros. connect first) and learn how to use a hammer. The Mario Bros offer to help him, and they must smash a series of crates that the boy sets down. At the end, Mario is exhausted, but the boy is more confident and gives them a Heart Bean.

In-game description[edit]

  • "The boy who dreams of being a craftsman wants to learn how to swing a hammer. He's sure that will help him master his craft.'"
  • "Destination: Rumbla Island
Teach him to use the hammer.
    "
