Boss Tent.png

The Boss Tent (also called Boss Hut) is a tent in Craft Island, in Yoshi's Woolly World. It is unlocked by completing the course King Bowser's Castle, therefore beating the game. In the Boss Tent, players can face off against each of the twelve bosses in the game in a Boss Challenge. Each boss moves and attacks much faster than normal, making the boss fights more difficult. If the arena has the door used to enter the room visible, the door does not appear in a Boss Challenge. If the player loses, they are presented a menu to retry or quit.

Boss Challenges are not courses. This means Yoshi cannot use Power Badges, because those can only be equipped in a course. It also means the invisible checkpoint for exiting boss doors in courses in Mellow Mode, and therefore the six yarn balls provided by when respawning with that checkpoint are inapplicable.

At first, players are limited to which bosses they can fight, but by defeating a boss, they can advance to the next boss. Defeating a boss also rewards players with one or two pieces of Wonder Wool. As with the main game, collecting all five Wonder Wool of one set reknits a Yoshi. There are fifteen Wonder Wool available here, and they reknit Bronze Yoshi, Silver Yoshi, and Gold Yoshi. As bosses are unlocked in order, these Yoshis are reknit in the specified order. In Yoshi's Woolly World, they stand outside of the Boss Tent and are also added to the Yoshi Hut. In either case they can be used as playable characters. In Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, only the most recently reknit of the three can be found outside the Boss Tent, regulating the other one(s) to only being accessible through the Yoshi Hut.

Boss Challenges[edit]

The Boss Challenges are unlocked in the same order the bosses are encountered in the main game. Big Montgomery and Knot-Wing the Koopa have a Boss Challenge for each of their battles, in the game; these are differentiated by appending ", Round #" to the boss's name. Baby Bowser's Boss Challenge also includes Mega Baby Bowser. Most of the cutscenes are removed, leaving the transition as only the purple curtain indicating a boss fight followed by the start of the Mega Baby Bowser battle. There is no checkpoint between the two battles.

  2. Burt the Bashful: 1 Bronze Wonder Wool
  3. Knot-Wing the Koopa, Round 1: 1 Bronze Wonder Wool
  4. Bunson the Hot Dog: 2 Bronze Wonder Wools
  5. Big Montgomery, Round 2: 1 Silver Wonder Wool
