A Barney Bubble[1] is an enemy in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its Game Boy Advance remake, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. they are purple with blue feet, as shown from their sprites, although their artwork depicts them as white with red feet. Their name is a portmanteau of Barney Rubble, a character from The Flintstones, and bubble, relating to their behavior. A Barney Bubble's behavior involves it quickly running back and forth.
