Snowboys are snowmen characters from the Animal Crossing series. In the Super Mario franchise, Snowboys appear in Mario Kart 8 in the Animal Crossing course as part of the Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 downloadable content, and return in the base game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They only appear in the winter version of the aforementioned course and serve as obstacles in the final section, replacing Mr. Resetti from the other three seasons, as well as in the beginning section. They function identically to Snowmen from other courses: a racer that crashes into one destroys it and is slowed down.
