They have the appearance of two small yellow platforms with eyes. To use them, Mario and Luigi have to jump onto the panels, which will be lying on the ground on the edge of a cliff. Afterward, the brothers must alternate jumps to move the blocks across a chasm, reminiscent of bicycle pedals. They bear a resemblance to Rotating Blocks. In Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a similar-acting object is the Gonzola.
