Back Cursyas are a sub-species of Cursyas from Super Paper Mario. They can be distinguished from other Cursyas because of their gray color. If players touch a Back Cursya, they will "flip out" and be sent back to Flipside, so it is recommended that Boomer, Cudge or Bowser's Fire Breath is used to defeat one. Its name comes from the fact that it curses the player to be sent back to Flipside. There are only two Back Cursyas in the game.
Back Cursyas are the only Cursyas without a dark form, likely as including them in either Pit of 100 Trials would be incompatible with the intent of only allowing the player to leave every tenth floor.
