Template:Justreleased Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 (called Animal Crossing: New Leaf × Mario Kart 8 up to November 13, 2014) is one of the downloadable course packs, along with The Legend of Zelda × Mario Kart 8, available for the game Mario Kart 8. Originally scheduled for release in May 2015, it was later pulled ahead to an April 23, 2015 release.[1]

Like the other pack, the Animal Crossing × Mario Kart 8 pack contains three new characters, four new vehicles, and two new cups of four tracks each.
Characters
Villager - The playable character from the Animal Crossing series, based on the Animal Crossing: New Leaf appearance. Comes in male and female choices. The male Villager has the same stats as Tanooki Mario, while the female Villager has the same stats as Cat Peach.
Isabelle - A non-playable character from Animal Crossing: New Leaf that helps the players in their role. Has the same stats as Toad, Toadette, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu, Larry, and Wendy.
Dry Bowser - The skeleton version of Bowser, first playable in Mario Kart Wii. Has the same stats as Bowser, Wario, and Morton.
Kart Parts
Streetle -
- File:MK8CityTripper.png City Tripper - a bike based on the Animal Crossing series. It looks extremely similar to the Sugarscoot from Mario Kart Wii.
P-Wing - a kart based on the P-Wing power-up.
Bone Rattler - an ATV vehicle that's supposedly based on Dry Bowser.
Paper Glider - a new glider based on the Animal Crossing series.
Leaf Tires - a new pair of tires based on the Animal Crossing series.

Bonus content
If both packs are purchased, either separately or as a bundle, the player also receives eight new color swaps for both Yoshi and Shy Guy. These color changes do not appear as computer racers. The colors included are below:
