Eeries are ghosts that appear in Super Mario World. They fly in straight or wobbly lines and usually come in packs. Mario or Luigi "power down" when they touch an Eerie. They are found in most of the Ghost Houses in Dinosaur Land and can only be defeated with invincibility. Eeries make another appearance in Yoshi's Cookie where they appear as the fourth opponent in the game's VS. Mode if the player plays on the Medium difficulty.
Eeries get their name from the word eerie, meaning something strange or frightening.
Trivia
- Eeries have a minor resemblance to Baby Yoshis and Spikes. This may suggest a relationship to either.
