Mario Party 2:

Platform Peril is a 4-Player minigame in Mario Party and Mario Party 2 as well as a coin-collecting 4-Player minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Overview

Platform Peril in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Gameplay from Super Mario Party Jamboree

Players jump from platforms in the sky on their way to the goal. There are coins on some of the platforms. Any player that either falls off or jumps into a brick structure (which is larger in Super Mario Party Jamboree) is eliminated. In the Mario Party 2 version only, there are also forward- and backward-moving conveyor belts as well as moving platforms. A player can weaken their opponent's jump and movement temporarily by jumping on them. Whoever makes it to the goal first wins. If all the players fall off the course, the minigame ends in a draw.

In the first two Mario Party games, the characters perform their usual poses from winning or losing, though in Super Mario Party Jamboree, a player only does their defeat animation if they end with no coins.

The minigame can be bought from the Mini-Game House in Mario Party for 450 Coins when available or from Woody in Mario Party 2 for 50 Coins.
