Overview

Mario Speedwagons from Mario Party: The Top 100.
Gameplay from Mario Party: The Top 100

The minigame begins with a traffic signal, and racers begin when the green light flashes. It is represented as a 3–2–1 countdown in Mario Party: The Top 100. Players try to cross the finish line in a drag race in their uniquely colored top fuel dragster first. When the gear numbers flash, a player is requires to switch gears, but doing this either early or too late results in either a decrease or no increase in speed, respectively. If a player accelerates too quickly at the start, their car does not move much.

It is the third minigame of Decathlon in Mario Party: The Top 100.

At the end, the winning player has a parachute appear behind their car. Mario Party 4 shows an additional sequence where players are ranked on a podium accordingly, and only the player does their winning pose.

Boo's picture frame can be unlocked for the Present Room in Mario Party 4 by clearing the minigame within ten seconds.
