Mario Party: The Top 100:

Aim of the Game is a Battle and Duel minigame in Mario Party 8 and a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party: The Top 100.

Overview

Aim of the Game from Mario Party: The Top 100
Gameplay from Mario Party: The Top 100

The minigame opens in a casino, where cards are released from a top hat.[1]

Each player shoots five cards with the aim of getting the most points. The number on a card can be either 5, 10, 20, 30, or 50, but there is a ×2 multiplier card as well as ×0, which resets their score entirely. The minigame ends after every card has fallen. The player with the most points, the highest possible one being 800, wins. If both players end with the score score in the Duel variation, it is a tie.

The minigame ends with the winners (including second-place players Mario Party: The Top 100) doing their animations for winning, while each loser does their animation. In the event of a tie in Mario Party 8, every player does their losing animation.

Its name is a pun on a phrase meaning "what one wants to accomplish."
