Pour to Score is a Challenge minigame in Mario Party 8.

Introduction[edit]

As the player steps up to a scale with a container of sand on it, a Shy Guy walks forward to the left, holding a sign facing away from the player. The Shy Guy then turns the sign to face the player, revealing an amount, and the game begins.

Gameplay[edit]

In order for the player to succeed in this minigame, they must pour a specific amount of sand onto a scale within five grains revealed on the Shy Guy's sign (for example, 165–170). The player also must not exceed the maximum number that the Shy Guy shows, as doing so automatically ends the minigame and makes the player lose. The counter turns yellow when the player has poured the required amount of sand on the scale. The player can end the minigame in two ways: by pressing A Button or B Button or by letting the timer reach zero. If, at the end of the minigame, the amount of sand the player has poured is within the required amount as shown by the Shy Guy, they win.

Ending[edit]

If the player wins, they will do their victory pose while the crowd cheers. If the player loses, they will do their losing pose.
