Ball Blitz being used in the Slippenglide Island

The Ball Blitz is a Bros. Move in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. This move is executed by holding X Button while using the Bro Ball, and then releasing the button. This causes the Bro Ball to dash with incredible speed upon releasing. Dashing toward wall ramps with the Ball Blitz allows Mario and Luigi to roll up the wall and reach the ledge above. This move can also be used to deal a first strike by ramming into the enemy, causing one of the enemies to be damaged by both Bros. at the start of the battle similar to Dash first strikes from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.

This move is learned on Slippenglide Island, where upon being blocked by powerful wind stopping the Bros. from chasing Ten up a mountain, Luigi comes up with the ability.

Notes[edit]

  • Ball Blitz is very similar to Sonic's Spin Dash move, as it involves charging up a ball-related move by spinning in place quickly before moving with a burst of speed, and can even harm enemies if the move connects.
