IDLE, Mario & Luigi: Brothership[1]

IDLE is a group of characters who appear in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. They are a team of four Concordian children who all reside on Desolatt Island, each with a yellow-orange scarf tied around a different part of their body. Its name is an acronym made up of the initials of their members:[1]

  • Ireen, a short, pink Concordian who wears her scarf as a hair bow, and is the self-proclaimed leader of the group. She fought the other IDLE members one-on-one to get them to join her team, forming IDLE.
  • Dulles, a lanky, green Concordian with his scarf tied around his antenna.
  • Loog, a short, blue Concordian wearing his scarf as a bandana. He also proclaims himself as the leader of the group.
  • Ellow, a stocky, yellow Concordian wearing his scarf as a sack that is tied underneath his head.

Princess Peach, Starlow, and Dorrie join the group after the Color-Full Sea Great Lighthouse Island is relit; Peach wears her scarf around her right arm, and Dorrie wears one around its neck, but Starlow does not wear one.

At one point in the game, the four Concordian members ride a missile, piledriving it into the barrier surrounding the Color-Full Sea's Great Lighthouse. (Ellow holds the rocket directly, with the rest holding onto his back.) It is later revealed that they survived. The group also goes on scouting missions throughout the game.

If the player chooses Adaphne's upgrade for Shipshape Island, the group, along with Peach, Starlow, Dorrie, and Technikki save Mario, Luigi, and Cozette as Fortress Zokket transforms into the Soli-Tree. Later, the group gets scattered and has to be found on Shrimpee Islet and Mykroh Islet, with their Bond being collected afterward. This Bond is one of the Bonds necessary for breaching the barrier that Reclusa sets up around the Soli-Tree.

During the end of the game, the group says their goodbyes along with the rest of the cast. They are later shown posing in front of a Concordian child in Allsand Island during the credits.
