Bobsled Run is a 2-vs-2 minigame in Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party Superstars. The minigame seems to be based on the Big Penguin race on Cool, Cool Mountain from Super Mario 64 as in Mario Party 2, the bobsleds are modeled after penguins. However, in the first Mario Party, they are normal sleds with the first team's having a Star front end and the second team's having a Mushroom front end, and in Mario Party Superstars, they are normal sleds with Mushroom-like patterns.

Gameplay

The minigame splits the four players into two teams, each one getting its own bobsled. They must steer their way through a track down to the finish, hitting three speed boosts along the way. In the Mario Party 2 version, there are fewer guardrails, so it is easier to fall (or get pushed by an opponent) off into the pit than it is in Mario Party. The first team to reach the finish line is the winner. If both teams fall off the track or neither team finishes within five minutes in Mario Party and Mario Party 2 or three minutes in Mario Party Superstars, the minigame ends in a draw.

In Mario Party, the minigame can be purchased from the Mini-Game House for 200 coins. In Mario Party 2, the minigame can be purchased from Woody for 100 coins.
