Rugby (originally known as Homecoming King) is one of Dribble & Spitz's microgames in WarioWare: Twisted! and returns as one of Jimmy T's microgames in WarioWare Gold using buttons instead of gyro controls.

Gameplay[edit]

The player controls a football player in the original and a rugby player in the Gold remake. The game's purpose is to catch the ball before the others. If done so, the game is won. However, if another player catches the ball, the player will lose. In Gold it is not needed to jump in order to receive the ball, despite the microgame having a jump button.

WarioWare: Twisted![edit]

  • 1st level difficulty: There will be two other players.
  • 2nd level difficulty: There will be three other players.
  • 3rd level difficulty: There will be five other players.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

  • 1st level difficulty: There will be four other players.
  • 2nd level difficulty: There will be six other players.
  • 3rd level difficulty: Same as Level 2, but the ball falls farther from the player.

Trivia[edit]

  • In WarioWare: Twisted!, part of the music in this microgame plays on the Pizza Patrons' television in Mona's story.
  • Though balls cannot be thrown forward in rugby, there are no restrictions on kicking the ball forward, making the Gold version of the microgame accurate to the sport.
