A Moment of Reflection is one of Kat & Ana's microgames in WarioWare: Smooth Moves and returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Ashley & Red's microgames. The name alludes to the phrase "a moment of reflection", where a person takes some time to think about something.

Gameplay[edit]

The player's objective is to direct the light beam, reflecting it with a mirror, to the nearest character's head for a few moments. The mirror can be rotated by turning the Wii Remote or tilting the Nintendo 3DS left or right.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves[edit]

  • Level 1: The targeted person is standing still to the left side and there are no additional mirrors. If the player accomplishes the task, the person's hair will burn off.
  • Level 2: The targeted person is standing still to the left side and there is one additional mirror. The player is supposed to direct the beam to the second mirror, which will then shine on the nearest character's head, causing them to grow hair. However, using the second mirror is not necessary to win the game.
  • Level 3: The two characters are instead on the right side of the screen, moving back and forth. Similarly to the second stage, there is an additional mirror to direct the light beam to before shining it on the character's head, but again using the second mirror is not necessary to win the game. Winning the game will turn the person's hair into a rainbow, stretching across the screen.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

The microgame has a background depicting a volcano, grass, clouds, and a crescent moon. After the microgame is cleared, the background turns green, magenta, or pink.

  • Level 1: A blue spirit is stationary in a top corner and there are no additional mirrors. If the player accomplishes the task, the blue spirit will transform into a yellow figure.
  • Level 2: A yellow figure is stationary in a bottom corner and there is one additional mirror. The player is supposed to direct the beam to the second mirror, which will then shine on the yellow figure, causing it to grow hair.
  • Level 3: The yellow figure from Level 2 moves back and forth in a bottom corner. Similarly to the second stage, there is an additional mirror to direct the light beam to before shining it on the character's head. Winning the game will cause the yellow figure to evolve into a doodle resembling Mona, Ashley, or Penny with sparkles.

Trivia[edit]

  • In WarioWare Gold, this microgame's background music has a second portion that can only be heard if the game is made to go beyond its normal length. This is only achievable if the game appears in the WarioWatch challenge mode.
