Dungeon Dilemma is Orbulon's boss microgame from the IQ folder in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! The microgame reprises its role in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! It later reappears as one of Dribble & Spitz's regular microgames found in the Fantasy stage from the Mash League in WarioWare Gold.

Gameplay[edit]

In this microgame, the player has to perform moves to defeat the enemy, in a similar manner to that of an RPG. The name in the upper left is taken from the player name in Mega Microgame$ and from the name of the save file's Mii in Gold.

Although the player is listed as having significant HP, with 333, 666, and 999 respectively per level in Mega Microgame$! and 100, 200, and 300 in Gold, the player gets defeated by being hit once.

The player is listed as having 100, 200, and 300 MP for each level respectively in Mega Microgame$!. In Gold the MP meter starts at 120 for all levels at base speed, and then increases by 20 for each higher speed. The player will always have enough MP to perform their attacks either way.

To make an action, they must select the correct spelling of the move. First, the player attacks; after that, they use defense and finally magic. Finally, the player has to press the A Button button at the right time to hit "Success", and to avoid hitting "Failure". The player fails if they select the wrong option or take too long to select any option.

  • 1st level difficulty: The player fights an enemy named Hungraa. They have 2 moves to choose from.
  • 2nd level difficulty: The player fights an enemy named Refiller. They have 3 moves to choose from.
  • 3rd level difficulty: The player fights an enemy named Munchor. They have 4 moves to choose from.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

In WarioWare Gold, each stage involves only one move, due to the shorter time limit. Other aspects of the gameplay were not changed.

  • 1st level difficulty: The player fights a Squibbly Eggplant. They have 2 moves to choose from.
  • 2nd level difficulty: The player fights an Eggplant Knight. They have 3 moves to choose from. If the player chooses the wrong move, the Eggplant Knight swings his sword to chop the player in half.
  • 3rd level difficulty: The player fights the Eggplant King. They have 4 moves to choose from.

  • This boss microgame, alongside Punch Out, is one of only two boss microgames in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! to have its visuals play back at normal speed, even when the other microgames speed up. Option selection is still at a higher speed, however.
