Poseidon is the boss microgame in Dribble & Spitz's Fantasy level in WarioWare: Get It Together!
Gameplay[edit]
The object of this microgame is to protect fairies from Poseidon's tentacles. The tentacles can be attacked to prevent them from capturing a fairy or to rescue them if caught. When the key appears, the player must swing it to unlock the gate while the walls slowly close in. Once the gate is unlocked, the player must get the fairies to the ledge where other fairies are waiting. The fairies will hold onto the holes in their attempt to escape abduction if they do get dragged to the hole, but if Poseidon catches a fairy with his tentacles and successfully abducts him, the player fails as Poseidon holds the fairy up with his tentacle. The player also fails if the walls fully close in and crush them. Poseidon will be struck down if the player succeeds.
- Level 1: There is one fairy to be rescued and one tentacle attacking.
- Level 2: There are two fairies to be rescued and one tentacle attacking.
- Level 3: There are two fairies to be rescued and two tentacles attacking.
If two players are utilized for this microgame, tentacles can emerge from either wall. There are also two gates, though the microgame can be completed with only one unlocked. Levels 2 and 3 also include three fairies.
Mission[edit]
- Defender of Fairies: The player must clear a level without letting any fairies get caught by a tentacle.
Suitability[edit]
Good Fit | ||
---|---|---|
Bad Fit |
- Once the gate is unlocked, Orbulon can simply use his tractor beam to carry the fairies to the ledge.
- Dribble & Spitz are good fits for this microgame because, in single-player, the tentacles and gate are on the right side of the screen, and are easily reachable by Dribble's projectiles. The same holds true for Spitz, because there is also a gate on the left in two-player mode.
