Sydney Sprint is a race course that appears in the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It is an expanded and combined version of Sydney Sprint and Sydney Sprint 2 from Mario Kart Tour. It is the first course of the Propeller Cup.[1]
It is one of two courses from Mario Kart Tour to appear in the second wave, alongside Tour New York Minute.
Course layout
As with other Tour city tracks, the track layout changes each lap and, much like Tour Paris Promenade, the track goes in reverse starting on lap three. The first lap of the track is identical to Sydney Sprint 1, taking racers through the Sydney Opera House, around the Bradfield Highway and Luna Park area and across the Sydney Harbour Bridge on route back to the starting line. On the second lap, the track starts on a new layout, with the ferry first seen in the Mario Kart Tour rendition of SNES Koopa Troopa Beach 2 acting as a bridge leading to a park on the west side of the track. It loops back to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, where the player can use the ramps located on the bridge. The track then turns to the Mary Booth Lookout Reserve portion of the track, much like Sydney Sprint 2 and travels the route around the Opera House and back to the finish line. For the final lap, drivers race the entirety of Sydney Sprint R. The Toads on the train now throw coins onto the track rather than items when racing along the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
