Lakipeas are the Beanbean Kingdom counterparts to Lakitus, first appearing in the game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. In keeping with the theme of their homeland, their names are a combination of "Lakitu" and "pea". Lakipeas are nearly identical to regular Lakitus, with the only differences being that the Lakipea has a sprout growing on its head and a vine-covered cloud. They also toss Sharpea eggs instead of regular Spinies. In the overworld, they can throw up to three Sharpea eggs at Mario and Luigi. During battle, the Sharpea Eggs can be countered with Hammers.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, they have been redesigned to have more visible bodies, less opaque goggles, and two leaves on their heads instead of one, while their clouds have been given faces, much like regular Lakitus. Also, when there are two Sharpeas still present in battle, if the Sharpea egg has been hammered, it can now counterattack the Lakipea by being flown towards it.

Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser bio: Though their POW is average, be mindful of their HP! They hate turnips and the Shy Guys who throw them.
