The Great Goal Pole, otherwise known as World Star-4, is the fourth level of World Star in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It is unlocked by completing Rolling Ride Run, and its completion unlocks Super Block Land.

Layout

Upon first look, the level appears to be very short and simple. There is a tree, a lift, and a couple of ? Blocks. After the player jumps for the Goal Pole, however, it grows wings and starts flying away, forcing Mario and company to chase it. The Goal Pole stops flying if the player is too far behind, but as the player catches up, it continues flying away. Dash Panels are placed in different locations around the level.

Towards the end of the level, Donut Blocks must be used as platforms. Once the player catches the Goal Pole, the level ends, and a cloud platform appears on the ground before the player jumps off the Goal Pole after sliding down it.

Green Stars

  • Green Star 1: The first Green Star is on the first set of Donut Blocks.
  • Green Star 2: Right before the second Walleye, the player must follow the Donut Blocks all the way to the left to get the Green Star.
  • Green Star 3: The player has to follow the Donut Block staircase at the end of the level upwards, then follow the top path to reach the Green Star.

Stamp

Luigi sighting

  • At the end of the course, where the platforms are made entirely out of endless Donut Blocks, there is a hidden Luigi shown crouching if the player goes far enough.
