Template:Species-infobox Yellow Snaggles[1], also referred to as simply Snaggles[2] or Nibbles[3], are derivatives of Snaggles that appear in Donkey Kong Country Returns, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and its Nintendo Switch port. They are yellow and have stripes like those of tiger sharks.

History

Like regular Snaggles, they leap out of the water at regular intervals, but will follow with a quick additional leap without signalling it. They appear in the Beach world and in some other levels, including Damp Dungeon. They can only be defeated with a barrel. If the Kongs come into contact with a Yellow Snaggles, they lose a heart from their health meter. Yellow Snaggles make dog noises when they jump out of the water, just like their relatives.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

In Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port, Yellow Snaggles do not jump at the Kongs, instead pursuing them while remaining underwater. They are found in Shoal Atoll and Panicky Paddles. Yellow Snaggles can only be defeated with Cranky Kong's underwater cane attack.
