Mount Must Dash
Mount Must Dash, otherwise known as World 3-6, is the sixth course of World 3 in Super Mario 3D World. It is unlocked from the start, but can only be accessed by completing Pipeline Lagoon. This course is heavily inspired and is a reference to Super Mario Kart, particularly towards the Mario Circuit tracks from said game, with a cover version of the tracks' music. The "Must Dash" is a pun on "mustache".
Layout
The level starts in a racetrack-like area with the game logo written on the sign signalizing the start position. A tree containing a Super Bell can be found at the beginning of the area. The level continues with a path containing some Dash Panels and Jump Panels. Jump Panels are used to cross gaps containing Mushroom Trampolines in them, and are followed by some Para-Biddybuds. The path then splits into two, with the top path containing Piranha Plants and the bottom path containing Donut Blocks, the first Green Star, and more Para-Biddybuds. and Piranha Plants. A Warp Box is found at the end of the section, taking the player to the next area. Some Brick Blocks are found, one of which can become a Coin Box, and a slope with Para-Biddybuds follows. The Checkpoint Flag is found at the end of the slope.
The level continues up another slope with Dash Panels, leading to another Jump Panel and some Dash Panels on platforms between pits. A slope with more Para-Biddybuds, a Jump Panel, and some Piranha Plants are found leading to a Warp Box. The player climbs another slope with more Dash Panels, leading to another slope that can be slid down. Another Jump Panel is found and the Goal Pole.
Green Stars
- Green Star 1: Near the beginning where the road splits, the player must take the lower path to collect the first Green Star.
- Green Star 2: After an upward climb, there is a Mystery Box guarded by nine Para-Biddybuds. The box takes the player to a room with Dash Panel and a rabbit, which releases the second Green Star when touched.
- Green Star 3: Near the last Warp Box, shortly after the Stamp. It can be reached via Cat form, Tanooki form, or with Princess Peach's floating ability.
Stamp
- After the second Green Star are trampolines that lead to the course's Stamp.
Luigi sighting
If the player gets to the Goal Pole area before the timer hits 323, an 8-bit Luigi can be seen running for the finish line on the ground, and sliding into it.
