In the original, they give a DEF boost of 45 points in the Japanese version and 18 points in international releases. They are a definite drop by Hermie III in the Japanese version and a rare drop by Eekers in international releases, despite the latter also dropping Smart Pants. They sell for 70 coins in the Japanese version and 25 in international releases.
In the remake, they give a DEF boost of 57 points. They are once again obtained as a default prize for defeating Hermie III. They sell for 3 coins.
