Artwork of Starburst from Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
First appearance Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022)
Variant of Luma
Rabbid

Sparks (originally dubbed Rabbid Lumas by Beep-0 before the heroes decided on their final name) are a hybrid species of Lumas and Rabbids that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. They resemble Lumas, but with a Rabbid's face and ears. They come in a variety of colors and designs, with some being larger than others, and each has their own power. During the game's story, Cursa sends its army to capture the Sparks in order to absorb their energy, and Mario and his team set out to rescue them. After rescuing a Spark, the team can use its power to attack enemies in battle. Star Bits can be used to level up the Sparks, which improves their effects. The heroes must reach level 9 for the Sparks to reach Level 3, heroes level 15 for Sparks level 4, and heroes level 21 for Sparks level 5, which is their maximum level. Up to 30 different Sparks can be recruited in the game, although Decibel, Twinkle, and Drizzle are not counted.

MYSTERY OF THE SPARKS
Image for Mystery Of The Sparks Memory in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

After an exhaustive analysis of our brave Spark allies, I can confirm that they are what they appear to be - a fusion of Luma and Rabbid. The Sparks' memories as to how exactly this came to be are lost to them, yet two instincts remain - their affection to their "mama" - Rosalina - and their deep fear of Cursa, who pursues them relentlessly throughout the galaxy in hopes of seizing their tremendous power for itself.
