Twilight House is a battle course in Mario Kart DS. It takes place in a house located at the center of a forest during twilight, floating above a dark void. The course has eight wide rooms surrounded by a narrow balcony, with an inaccessible ninth room at the center of the home. Players can fall to the void if they run along the balcony, especially on the 90 degrees turns. Some Dark Shine Sprites can be seen over the walls of Twilight House.
In Mario Kart DS, Mission 3-8 takes place in Twilight House, where the objective is for Mario to collect 20 coins under a minute and five seconds, while avoiding Bananas placed around the course.
The course returns in Mario Kart Wii and in Mario Kart Tour, starting with the 2022 Halloween Tour.
Mario Kart Wii
In Mario Kart Wii, the course was updated with ambient lighting, better shading, and remixed music. The biggest change is that a thick forest filled with trees (similar to Moonview Highway) was added below the course where players can fall into, with tall pillars now holding the house up.
Tournaments

In Mario Kart Wii, the Twilight House had a tournament. The battle course was changed into a race track, and players competed in a 5-lap grand prix race for the fastest possible time. The tournament was restricted to the Wii Wheel option, and was the 2nd tournament for July 2008. It was later repeated as the 2nd tournament for July 2010, with the exact same restrictions.

Twilight House reappears in Mario Kart Tour debuting in the 2022 Halloween Tour alongside SNES Donut Plains 3 and GBA Boo Lake. The course uses its appearance from Mario Kart Wii, albeit with updated graphics. A Rocky Wrench also appears in the course's northern, eastern, southern, and western rooms, replacing the Item Boxes there, while the north-western room has cyan lighting instead of orange like the rest of the rooms. A wall surrounding the entire course has also been added, allowing projectiles to rebound off of the course's boundaries, and the four corner platforms have been removed. Like other battle courses in this game, Twilight House uses Template:Classic-link's music from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe instead of the Mario Kart DS Battle Mode theme.
