The Steel Driver is an unlockable kart that appears in Mario Kart 8. The name being based on the game Steel Diver (similar to how the Blue Falcon from the F-Zero series appeared in Mario Kart Wii). In fact, its Japanese name references Steel Diver. It is a submarine-like vehicle with a dark blue top and a red underside. It has the same stats as the Badwagon, the Tri-Speeder, and the Standard ATV.
