Template:Kart-infobox The Wood tires (known as the Wooden tires in PAL regions) are a set of unlockable tires in Mario Kart 7. The Wood tires actually a good boost of acceleration and handling, but their speed and weight are hindered. The Wood tires are the only set of wheels to offer a handling boost, but no off-road boost.
The Wood tires also appear in Mario Kart 8, where they share identical stats with the Cushion and Sponge wheels. The Wood tires are now styled similar to the tires used for the Heart Coach and Bloom Coach from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and the Daytripper from Mario Kart Wii.

Trivia
- The tires of the DK Jumbo, from Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, have a similar appearance to the Wood tires. However, unlike the Wood tires, the DK Jumbo offers much less acceleration.
