Wonder Wools are Yoshis that have been unwoven by Kamek's magic; the Yoshis are made up of five Wonder Wools each. The color of the Yoshi determines the colors of the Wonder Wools it is made up of. - During the game's development and pre-release, Wonder Wools were known as Yarn Balls,[citation needed] however this name was used for the balls of wool Yoshi creates and throws during the game.
