Barney Bubble is a purple ball with blue feet, although its artwork depicts it as white with red feet. Its name is a pun on Barney Rubble from The Flintstones.
Two Barney Bubbles appear in the level Monkeys' Favorite Lake. They quickly run back and forth. Red Yoshi cannot eat a Barney Bubble, and can only defeat it by throwing an egg at it. Whenever Red Yoshi stomps on a Barney Bubble, it produces bubbles, which Red Yoshi can eat and spit out for a variety of uses. Bubble Dayzees produce the same type of bubbles.
