(Per proposal; this is as much info as I could dig up. I'll leave it up to LinkTheLefty to find Prima page numbers and the Shogakukan name.)

Template:Item-infobox P Panels[1] (also known as orange P Switches[2], orange Trample Switches[3], and Switch Panels[4]) are rare variants of P Switches introduced in Super Mario 3D World. They are orange switches that, when groups of them are pressed simultaneously, cause a certain event to occur.

The first set of P Panels appear in Double Cherry Pass after the first set of Blocksteppers, where they reveal the second Green Star. Two sets of P Panels then appear in Beep Block Skyway; the first one appears just before the split path with the first Green Star, and reveals coins; the second one appears just before the Goal Pole, and reveals the third Green Star. A single P Panel also appears in Cakewalk Flip in the area where the second Green Star can be found. The final set of P Panels appears in the third room of Mystery House Marathon; if less than three players are playing, Brolders must be thrown onto the remaining switches to collect the room's Green Star.

P Panels return in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, where a set appears in Double Cherry Palace; hitting it causes a wall to recede and allow the player to proceed through the level. Another set of P Panels appears in Poison Canal Cannon Run, where they are used to unveil a Super Gem.
