Mario having the Light G status

Light G is a status effect in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Mario and Luigi are the only ones who can be afflicted with this status. The brothers can get this status by wearing certain Clothing, or by eating a Green Pepper.

As its name suggests, Light G will cause the one who consumes it to become lighter, meaning his jumps will descend slower, and his Hammer and Hand Power attacks will be faster, but have a larger window for successful action commands. This will make it easier for counter-attacking, so it's recommended that the player has this status. It is indicated by feathers floating up from below Mario or Luigi. In the remake, this only affects counter-attacking.
