Eeries are ghosts that appear in Super Mario World. They can fly in either straight or wobbly lines and usually come in packs, damaging Mario or Luigi on contact. They are found in most of the Ghost Houses in Dinosaur Island and are invincible. Eeries makes another appearance in the Nintendo GameCube version of Yoshi's Cookie, where they appear as the fourth opponent in the game's VS. Mode if the player plays on the Medium difficulty.
Eeries get their name from the word eerie, meaning something strange or frightening.
