Template:Kart-infobox The Slick tires are a set of unlockable tires in Mario Kart 7. They offer the strongest speed boost (tied with the Gold Tires), while also offering a small weight boost. Their acceleration and handling are hindered, however; Their handling is tied with the Monster, Red Monster, and Gold Tires for being the lowest handling among all the kart parts. They are also tied with the Gold Tires for having the lowest off-road boost in the game.

The Slick wheels also return in Mario Kart 8, with their appearance being altered to an extent. Their statistics are also different in that they no longer have a negative impact on handling, and don't boost speed as much as in Mario Kart 7. They also have a variant called the Cyber Slick.
