The Bean Pants are a type of gear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, available only to Mario. It is available for 100 coins (or 160 in the remake) at the Castle Town Fashion House after Queen Bean is defeated, and as such is one of the earliest items purchasable there. It increases DEF by 12 in the original and 18 in the remake, but does not have any Special Effects.
