R.O.B. Block Set is one of 18-Volt's microgames in WarioWare Gold. It is based on the Family Computer and NES game Stack-Up.

Gameplay[edit]

The player must control R.O.B., who is configured to play Stack-Up. There are five slots in the set up, placed around R.O.B. R.O.B's arms start over the slot directly in front of him. Depending on the level, either there is a block in four of the slots or only one block in one slot. In the first case, each block is a different color: red, blue, green, or yellow. By rotating the Nintendo 3DS, R.O.B rotates his arms to match. R.O.B's limits are the slots at the angles farthest from R.O.B's initial angle. The A Button button centers R.O.B's arms at the nearest slot, then lowers them to grab a block. With a block in hand, the same can be done to pick a slot and place the block at the slot. When a block has to be moved to a slot, a red arrow will appear after the block is picked up pointing at the destination slot. If the player follows all commands correctly, the microgame is complete. R.O.B turns around to face the player with flashlights from his eyes. If the player ever does something incorrectly, such as grabbing the wrong block, grabbing a slot without blocks, or placing a block in the wrong slot, R.O.B malfunctions. His head droops, and the microgame is lost.

As in the WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! microgame Stack-Up and other appearances, R.O.B. has red arms in the Japanese version and gray arms in international versions.

  • 1st level difficulty: The player must have R.O.B. pick up the block of the specified color. Four of the slots have blocks, and the slot in front of R.O.B is always empty.
  • 2nd level difficulty: The player must have R.O.B. pick up a block, move to a specified slot, and place the block there. Only one block is present.
  • 3rd level difficulty: The player must have R.O.B. move the specified block to the specified slot. Four of the slots have blocks, but the slot in front of R.O.B may have a block. The specified slot is always the one that started the game without a block.
