Roll Call is a 4-Player minigame found in Mario Party 2, Mario Party: The Top 100, and Mario Party Superstars. The name refers to a term that describes a process performed by the leader of a group (typically, an army or a classroom) checking to see who is present and who is absent.

Players have to count the Toads, Boos, or Bob-ombs. For the Toads, there are inanimate mushrooms on the ground with the same caps as the Toads, which should not be counted. For the Boos, they can appear and disappear, and there are rocks on the ground. For the Bob-ombs, players must count only Bob-ombs that do not explode (those that do must be subtracted), and there are Bob-omb crates on the ground. Any player who has the same count as the blue count at the top of the screen when roll call comes wins. If no count matches the blue count at the top of the screen when the character count is totaled, the minigame ends in a draw. Also, it is possible to have all four players win this minigame, if they all have the same count and the blue count at the top of the screen matches. As the characters are counted, the Toads leave the forest, the Boos vanish, and the Bob-ombs explode.
Players count the number of either Bob-ombs, Boos, or Toads; this is consistently the case for the Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty levels of the Mini-Game Coaster, respectively. Some events or objects may interfere with the players' count: Bob-ombs exploding, therefore extracting themselves from the total, as well as crates with their likeness; Boos can vanish and reappear; and Toads are in a scene with mushrooms bearing the same cap as them. Players who guess the correct number shown on a blue count during the end results win, including if all four guess correctly. If none of the guesses are correct, the minigame ends in a draw.

If the player pauses the game, the Toads, Boos, and Bob-ombs disappear, most likely to prevent the player from cheating. However, in the Toad version of the minigame, the regular mushrooms do not disappear.

In the Mini-Game Coaster, the version of this minigame depends on the difficulty played: On Easy, the Bob-omb version is used. On Normal, the Boo version is used. On Hard, the Toad version is used.
The Mario Party: The Top 100 version features only Bob-ombs, though any of the three species can appear in Mario Party Superstars, like the original Mario Party 2 version. For both later editions of Roll Call, any player who guesses the exact number wins first place, but the others are ranked depending on how close their guess to the actual number, and even if none of the four players guess the correct number of Bob-ombs, anyone who is the closest wins.

The minigame title refers to the phrase of the same name, meaning for a group leader to check who is present and who is not.
Only Bob-ombs appear in the Mario Party: The Top 100 edition of this minigame. The gameplay is the same, but players are now ranked based on how close they are to the count at the top. Players who are correct (have the same count as the count at the top) receive first place; other players are ranked based on how close they are to the correct count. A draw will result only if no count matches the correct count or if all four players were the same distance in relation to the correct count.

In Mario Party Superstars, all three variations return. However, the Toads are red. As in The Top 100, players are ranked based on how close they are to the correct count, with players who are correct automatically receiving first place.

Roll Call is a 4-Player minigame found in Mario Party 2, Mario Party: The Top 100, and Mario Party Superstars.

Overview[edit]

Roll Call in Mario Party Superstars.
Gameplay from Mario Party Superstars

It costs 200 Coins to buy the minigame from Woody in Mario Party 2.

The minigame title refers to the phrase of the same name, meaning for a group leader to check who is present and who is not.
