Grampy Turnip, Mario & Luigi: Brothership

The Grampy Turnips are characters that appear in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. They are humanoid Plug Radishes with a white mustache and glasses. Grampy Turnips are buried in several different islands throughout Concordia, and when uprooted, they each deliver a long monologue to Mario and Luigi, ending with a joke. There are 18 Grampy Turnips in the game.

A Golden Grampy Turnip in Shipshape Island gives rewards based on how many Grampy Turnips have been found, and gives the locations of any Grampy Turnips that have not been found on islands Mario and Luigi have visited already. The Golden Grampy Turnip at the Soli-Tree also does this. Additionally, a rare reef of a Grampy Turnip, known as Rooted-Turnip Reef, can be found.

Locations[edit]

  • Shipshape Island: Around the back behind the shops. Requires UFO Spin to reach.
  • Raynforst Island: On top of a hill to the left of the shop.
  • Twistee Island: Left of the main plaza. Can only be reached once the island is connected.
  • Desolatt Island: In front of a blue accessible building.
  • Bulbfish Island: Underground through an opened jail cell cage right of the entrance.
  • Slippenglide Island: Past some ledges right of the Extension Corps' lab.
  • Allsand Island: Near the largest quicksand pit. Requires Ball Blitz to reach.
  • Offandon Island: Among a Plug Radishes patch near the plaza.
  • Jellyfish Island: Among a Plug Radishes patch near the shops.
  • Soli-Tree: Eight Grampy Turnips are found in a secret area in the far left end of the seesaw room called the Grampy Turnip Room, with the one on the top ledge being another Golden Grampy Turnip. Another is found in front of a high seesaw puzzle.
