Bobsled Run is a 2-vs-2 minigame in Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party Superstars. The minigame seems to be based on the Big Penguin race on Cool, Cool Mountain from Super Mario 64 as in Mario Party 2, the bobsleds are modeled after penguins. However, in the first Mario Party, they are normal sleds with the first team's having a Star front end and the second team's having a Mushroom front end, and in Mario Party Superstars, they are normal sleds with Mushroom-like patterns.

Gameplay
Overview
The minigame splits the four players into two teams, each one getting its own bobsled. They must steer their way through a track down to the finish, hitting three speed boosts along the way. In the Mario Party 2 version, there are fewer guardrails, so it is easier to fall (or get pushed by an opponent) off into oblivion than it is in Mario Party. The first team to reach the finish line is the winner. If both teams fall off the track or neither team finishes within five minutes in Mario Party and Mario Party 2 or three minutes in Mario Party Superstars, the minigame ends in a draw.

Bobsled Run is a 2-vs-2 minigame in Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party Superstars.

Overview[edit]

Bobsled Run from Mario Party Superstars.
Gameplay from Mario Party Superstars

Both teams do a bobsled race to the bottom of an icy track. Three speed boosts are found along the way; in Mario Party 2, one of them is on an optional path. If a team falls off the track, they are disqualified from the minigame. The team that makes it to the end first wins. It is a draw if either both teams are disqualified or neither team reaches the end goal by five minutes in the first two games or three minutes in Mario Party Superstars.

Bobsled Run costs 200 Coins to buy at the Mini-Game House in Mario Party and 100 Coins from Woody in Mario Party 2.

Notes[edit]

 • Bobsled Run is similar to the Big Penguin race on Cool, Cool Mountain from Super Mario 64, especially because the bobsleds look like penguins in Mario Party 2. The bobsleds bear Super Mario theming in Mario Party, where the blue team's bobsled has a Mushroom symbol and the red team's a Star symbol, and Mario Party Superstars, where both have spotted Mushroom-like patterns.
