Disaster Cat: Difference between revisions
LinkTheLefty (talk | contribs) (Credit goes to Bazooka Mario for finding this. Not moving it quite yet since it still has a Japanese word in the name, but it should be preferable over "Kyōbō ni natta neko" (also because the big version could potentially be split). Will probably bring up on Oyaneko talk page.) |

Variant of | Kitten or cat (parent) |
Disaster Kittens, along with Disaster Cats, are respective ferocious versions of kittens and cats that appear as enemies while Fury Bowser is active in the Bowser's Fury campaign of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. They are black with red eyes and ears, large teeth, spiked tails and fur on their heads and backs, and a dark aura emanating from them. When Fury Bowser begins rampaging on Lake Lapcat, all kittens turn into Disaster Kittens and all cats turn into Disaster Cats. They chase after Mario if he is nearby, damaging him if they make contact. Disaster Cats are larger than Disaster Kittens, but otherwise act the same. If Mario is holding a kitten when Fury Bowser wakes up, then he will take damage and drop it; if a kitten is riding Cat Plessie when Fury Bowser wakes up, then it will teleport back to its original location. When Fury Bowser returns to the Fury Sun, all Disaster Kittens and Disaster Cats turn back into their original forms.
Hitting Disaster Kittens or Disaster Cats with fireballs or boomerangs knocks them a short distance away and stuns them for a moment. Using Cat Mario's swipe attack or Bowser Jr.'s magic brush can also stun them. Disaster Kittens and Disaster Cats that come into contact with water, lava, Lucky Cat Mario, Invincible Mario, White Tanooki Mario, or White Cat Mario vanish for the duration of Fury Bowser's rampage, and reappear in their original location and state when the rampage ends.
