Code Buster is one of Orbulon's microgames found in the IQ folder in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! It later appears in WarioWare Gold as one of Dribble & Spitz's microgames in the Fantasy set within the Mash League.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of the game is to follow the instructions on the screen and press the buttons to enter the commands. If the player presses the wrong button or holds the button in wrong order, the game ends in a loss.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! and WarioWare Inc.: Mega Party Game$![edit]

Each press will beep either once or twice, which can trick players to count the number of presses; therefore, they would have to concentrate on the number of actual presses, rather than the number of beeps they have heard. This is the only microgame in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! where B Button is used, though it is used in a way that makes the player always lose the microgame.

  • 1st level difficulty: The codes require the player to press a button while holding another:
    • "While holding A Button, press +Control Pad right!"
    • "While holding A Button, press +Control Pad left!"
    • "While holding +Control Pad up, press A Button!"
    • "While holding +Control Pad down, press A Button!"
  • 2nd level difficulty: The codes vary in pattern:
    • "After pressing A Button 5 times, press +Control Pad left!"
    • "Press A Button 3 times, then +Control Pad left twice!"
    • "Press up, down, left and right in the proper order!"
  • 3rd level difficulty: The codes require more presses than the previous level:
    • "After pressing +Control Pad right 8 times, press A Button!"
    • "Press A Button 2 times, press +Control Pad left, press +Control Pad right 3 times!"
    • "Press +Control Pad up, +Control Pad up, +Control Pad down, +Control Pad down, +Control Pad left, +Control Pad right, +Control Pad left, +Control Pad right!"

WarioWare Gold[edit]

The game has the player reading the code on a lock or out of a spell book. The context varies with each stage. Pressing B Button has no effect.

  • 1st level difficulty: The goal is to unlock a door. The codes require the player to press a button while holding another:
    • "While holding +Control Pad left, press A Button!"
    • "While holding +Control Pad right, press A Button!"
    • "While holding +Control Pad up, press A Button!"
    • "While holding +Control Pad down, press A Button!"
    • "While holding A Button, press +Control Pad left!"
    • "While holding A Button, press +Control Pad right!"
    • "While holding A Button, press +Control Pad down!"
  • 2nd level difficulty: The goal is to defeat a dragon. If it fails, the dragon will breathe fire. The codes require more presses than the first level:
    • "Press +Control Pad left, +Control Pad right, +Control Pad up, +Control Pad down!"
    • "Press +Control Pad left, +Control Pad up, +Control Pad right, +Control Pad down!"
    • "Press +Control Pad up, +Control Pad left, +Control Pad down, +Control Pad right!"
    • "After pressing A Button 5 times, press +Control Pad left!"
    • "After pressing A Button 5 times, press +Control Pad right!"
    • "Press A Button 3 times; press +Control Pad right 2 times!"
  • 3rd level difficulty: The goal is to destroy a gate. If it fails, snakes will appear. The codes require more presses than the second level:
    • "Press A Button 2 times; press +Control Pad left 3 times; press A Button!"
    • "Press +Control Pad up 3 times; press A Button 2 times; press +Control Pad down 3 times!"
    • "Press +Control Pad right 3 times; press +Control Pad left 2 times; press A Button 3 times!"
