A Bean Fruit is an item in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They are purple fruits resembling Apples from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and the Pink Berries from Super Mario World.
Bean Fruits play a role at one point. At the Yoshi Theater, Boddle requests Mario and Luigi to deliver seven Neon Eggs, which Fava explains are produced from Bean Fruit. Each Bean Fruit grows underneath a circle of flowers in Beanbean Fields, and Fava marks their locations on the map. Bean Fruits can be dug out after unlocking the Dunk Hammer move, and two also require the Super Hammer to destroy the rocks nearby. The Bean Fruits are fed to the Yoshis, and the Mario brothers receive the Neon Eggs that Boddle requested for a Beanstar piece.
